AUSTIN, Texas, October, 2010 - Black Sand Technologies, Inc., a fabless semiconductor company specializing in advanced power amplifier technology for wireless applications, announced that it has been selected for a second year in the EE Times List of 60 Emerging Startups, known as the “Silicon 60”. The list names some of the most important startups involved in semiconductor technologies. Technology areas include analog circuits, memory, logic, power, MEMS, optoelectronics, EDA software, foundry manufacturing, semiconductor production equipment, electronic subsystems, packaging and materials.
The Silicon 60 list is updated annually, and companies are selected based on a mix of criteria including technology, intended market, maturity, financial position, management and investment profile.
